Under the direction of world class bassist, Jeff Denson (Lee Konitz), the California Jazz Conservatory Blue Ensemble is the flagship ensemble at the prestigious California Jazz Conservatory, in Berkeley, California. This ensemble also has made number of appearances at collegiate jazz competitions, such as the Monterey Jazz Festival Next Generation Jazz Competition and the Reno Jazz Festival, the latter of which they have won 1st place each time they’ve participated.
